This morning at @ 7:30 there was this loud noise on Willow between Delmont and Cranford. As I went around the corner to investigate a black older model CJ jeep was driving away dragging a chain behind it. As I rounded the corner I saw a large green box in the middle of the road.  It looked possible like a safe but couldn't get a good look at it. Has anyone heard anything about this or see anything.

My husband and I saw it on our walk and tried to move it.  ha-ha  It was around 500 lbs and was a gun safe taken from the Boy Scout Hut behind Faith Christian Church.  Someone broke into the hut and took a lot of their supplies for a camp out next weekend -- tents, bbq, bacon and $$$.  BUT, what I would like to know is why they had a gun safe???   We cold see bullets from where the robbers tried to pry the safe open.

thru the cana crime email alert, someone posted the boy scouts had ammunition only in the safe....no guns.  they store guns & ammo in seperate locations.
