UN-Crime Alert - 5/11/09
From NPO John Capers
Hello everyone,
I don't want to only contact you when things are bad, so I wanted to update you since the last email. Reported home burglaries have come to almost a screeching halt, which is great. Patrol caught a couple guys, I caught a couple, and one guy who I was looking for turned himself in and was charged with a case. There are still a couple more who have warrants that I am looking for. We try to share information and communicate well with Richardson P.D., which has benefited both sides. I wanted to say thanks for all the phone and email responses from homeowners in districts 11 and 14 who were calling in "suspicious people and vehicles". Let's keep up the good work so the crime numbers stay down. Even vehicle burglaries seem to be down, so I think everyone is being more conscious about locking their cars and keeping valuables out of sight. Have a good week, and I'll be in touch.
District 11:
Burglary Hab: 0
Burglary Vehicle: 1
District 14:
Burglary Hab: 2
Burglary Vehicle: 4
p.s. We had a theft of lawn equipment from rear driveway the other day...the owner saw the Hispanic male jump into a CREAM-WHITE SMALL SUV, PARTIAL TAG PD_370. If you happen to see a vehicle matching that description, let me know the complete tag, thanks.
