Need a Permit for Your Alarm

As of January 1st, police no longer respond to residential or commerial intrusion alarms that do not have a city permit.

How Do You Obtain a Permit?

To obtain a permit, go to www.fortworthpd.com/alarm.htm. Simply print and complete the application and mail it to the Fort Worth Police Department Alarms Unit, 3000 W. Bolt Street.

Notification of Alarm Provider

Remember to notify your alarm provider of your official permit number. Police will not respond to intrusion alarms that do not have a current permit number on file with the alarm monitoring company.
