WHAT TO BRING TO A GAS SIGNING
GAS SIGNING
You will be contacted by The Caffey Group for Vantage Energy with the specific date and time that your property is scheduled for.
Vantage/Caffey realizes that people may not be available for the date scheduled for them. Don't worry alternative arrangements will be made if you can not make the scheduled time/date. You will NOT be left out. Non-resident homeowners who do not live here will be mailed the lease packet with instructions.
What to bring for signing:
**Every listed legal mineral interest holder for your property must sign the lease agreement. Therefore if you are married and both own interest you must both attend and/or sign OR if you and other family members or business partners jointly manage and own the mineral interest of your property, you must all attend and/or sign the lease agreement.
**Bring legal ID, like a Drivers' License.
**Bring or know your SSN.
**If your property is subject to a recent legal divorce decree or property settlement, bring a copy of what is applicable.
**Any other legal documents for property ownership.
**If you have such documentation, bring a copy of your original survey, as attached to your property's purchase contracts or documents, or any recent survey.
**Bring your TAD, Tarrant County property tax receipt for your Lot and Block description. YES you will receive payment for easements and to the center of all common properties. We were told the Vantage/Caffey lease will be in favor of the homeowner for lot size but I would have lot sizes from previous leases to compare with.
When signing a lease..use BLUE INK and INITIAL EACH PAGE..it keeps everyone honest.
When you sign the Vantage/Caffey lease, you will receive a bank draft payable in 30 business days which is about 45 real days. This is because we have the gas company warrant the title/deed in the lease so they must make sure YOU own the mineral rights before payment is made.

For those with internet access that would like to check their lot size, below is a site. Pick 'Owners Name' from the drop down box. Follow directions. Then find your address and click the number to the left. Your lot size is toward the top. This DOES NOT include to the middle of the street. Typically you will add .1 (10%) for non corner lots and about .18 (18%) for corner lots. Of course this depends on lot length, width, and width of street. It is just an estimate. I would also compare any leases received in the mail so you have a very good idea of what it should be. http://taxoffice.tarrantcounty.com/accountSearch.asp
