Lake Wind Advisory Statement as of 3:31 am EST on November 8, 2009

... Lake Wind Advisory in effect from 11 am this morning to 6 PM
EST this evening...

The National Weather Service in Tampa Bay area - Ruskin FL has
issued a lake Wind Advisory... which is in effect from 11 am this
morning to 6 PM EST this evening.

Breezy conditions are expected to continue across the region today
as a strong pressure gradient remains in place... between high
pressure over the South Carolina and Hurricane Ida in the Gulf of
Mexico. Winds will increase by late this morning and through the
afternoon. Winds of 20 to 25 mph with gusts over 30 mph are
expected.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A lake Wind Advisory is issued when sustained winds are forecast
to be 20 to 29 mph with frequent gusts to near or above gale
force for at least 3 hours. Winds of these magnitudes will
create rough conditions on larger area lakes which could produce
damage to... or flip... small pleasure craft.

Outdoor enthusiasts may wish to postpone lake related activities
until conditions improve.

	Monday Partly sunny in the morning...then mostly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. Breezy. Highs in the upper 80s. East winds 15 to 25 mph.
	Monday Night Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms. Lows in the upper 60s. Southeast winds 15 to 20 mph near the coast and southeast 10 to 15 mph inland. Chance of rain 30 percent.
	Tuesday Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms. Highs in the mid 80s. South winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.
	Tuesday Night and Veterans Day Partly cloudy with chance of showers and slight chance of thunderstorms. Lows in the mid 60s. Highs in the lower 80s. Chance of rain 40 percent.
	Wednesday Night and Thursday Partly cloudy with chance of showers and slight chance of thunderstorms. Lows in the mid 60s. Highs in the lower 80s. Chance of rain 30 percent.
