On March 8, 2010 Atlanta
Police Department officers saw the defendant Andre Lewis walking out of a
convenience store located at 3131 Campbellton Road holding merchandise belonging
to the store. The store had been broken into with a sledge hammer.
The defendant was charged for the crime. This defendant has several
previous convictions including 2003 Burglary; 2003 criminal attempt to
commit burglary; 1999 Entering Auto; 1998 Burglary (2 counts); 1981 Burglary;
1982 Burglary; 1985 Burglary. The state will ask for a minimum of 20 years
to serve 15 years.

& Monday June 28th at 9:30 am in courtroom 1C of
the Fulton County Courthouse, 185 Central Ave.
On May
23, 2010 officers responded to an alarm call after Tommy Brooks was seen inside
of Peyton Forest Elementary School via camera surveillance. School police
saw Brooks exiting the media center carrying a desktop computer. He was
arrested after he attempted to flee. Brooks broke the front window of the
school to enter and damaged several school projectors costing thousands of
dollars while trying to remove them from the school. Later the same
evening, defendants George Axam and Demetrius Johnson were seen walking out of
Peyton Forest elementary carrying a flat screen television belonging to the
school. APD Zone 4 officers were dispatched to the location and the
defendant's were arrested. Defendant Demetrius Johnson has a burglary
conviction from January 2010 where he received 3 years on probation for a
burglary at Turner Middle School last July. This case has two court dates
because some defendants are in custody and some are not.

On May 24,
2010 officers were dispatched to Mount Airy Drive for a burglary call where
defendant Smith was seen exiting a home with the owner's appliances.
Defendant Smith told officers he was doing construction for the owner but later
admitted he was not permitted to take the items. Smith was arrested and
charged with Burglary. The defendant has several previous burglary
convictions including a January 5, 2010 conviction for burglary in which he
received 10 years on probation. He also has burglary convictions from 1991
(2 cases), 1992, and 1994. The state will be requesting extensive jail
time for this case.
