CRIME WATCH UP DATE - AUGUST 26, 2007

Greetings, Neighbors,

Yes, it's still hot, but it seems that we have to keep moving on. For the students, classes start on Monday, August 27, but the teachers have already put in time preparing for their students' arrival. Let's pray for students, teachers and other personnel to be diligently and enthusiastically involved in the various areas of the education process.

Let's especially remember all of those at our new Lang Middle School. May teachers be able to challenge students to learn and to grow by putting forth their best efforts.

We are also being challenged to get involved in the workings of Dallas' city government. Our new City Council representative, Carolyn Davis, has invited us to one of her Town Hall Meetings at a nearby location, S. S. Conner Elementary School, on Tuesday, August 28, at 6:30 p.m.

Yes, it's about the budget, but we can have an input by registering our top priorities for spending our tax dollars. And we might learn a few things, too! For more info, please call 214-670-4689.
