CRIME WATCH UPDATE - JANUARY 16, 2008

Hello, Neighbors of White Rock Village!

All crimes reported to Dallas police between January 8 and 15 took place in areas adjoining White Rock Village. These include:

Assault (3), Criminal Mischief (3), Burglary (2), Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle (2), and Child Abandonment.

On Tuesday, January 22, 2008, a blood drive and HEAT registration will be conducted at the Northeast Substation, on East NW Highway, from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. Call Officer Bervin Smith at 214-670-7747 to make an appointment.

HEAT - Help End Auto Theft - is a statewide program which allows police to stop a vehicle between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. to determine that it is being driven legally. To register your vehicle, you will need a copy of the title, a valid drivers license, and proof of insurance. You will also provide a phone number at which you may be reached during these hours. Registration for HEAT is FREE.

Stay alert to your surroundings, watch out for yourself and your neighbors, and report promptly to 911 any suspicious persons or activities in our neighborhood.
