CRIME WATCH UPDATE - OCTOBER 10, 2007

Our WRV neighborhood has received an invitation from Susan Walker to attend their Joint Block Party with Lakeland Hills C.W. and Hillridge C.W. groups on Tuesday, October 23, at the Central Church of the Nazarene on Highland Road. Please RSVP by email or our V.M. # 214-967-5190 to let them know how many to expect for food and meeting.

Issues to be discussed: Code compliance issues, drive-by shootings (one at I-30 and Buckner and one on the highway that started from the club), and therefore, petitions to be signed regarding the club and sent to City Attorney and to DISD Board. Please put October 23 on your calendar--and reply.

Again there were no police-reported crimes in our residential area during the past week. But you may know of the hold-up and shooting at Joe's Cleaners (on John West) on Tuesday morning. You also need to be aware of four aggravated assaults: one on the 2nd (Industry on John West), one on the 3rd (La Ventanna Apartments, two on the 7th (St. Thomas Place Apartments), and a BMV on the 3rd (Royal Orleans Apartments).
