CRIME WATCH UPDATE - JANUARY 7, 2008

Greetings, neighbors,

Between January 1 and 7, the following crimes were reported to Dallas police:

Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, 8500 block of Grumman
Burglary of a motor vehicle, 8500 block of Londonderry
Burglary of a motor vehicle, 8500 block of Bellingham
Burglary of a motor vehicle, 8500 block of Van Pelt

In the adjoining areas of Dilido, Senate, Buckner, and John West:

Criminal mischief
Criminal trespass
Aggravated robbery - 2 incidents
Assault - 2 incidents
Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle

Bulky trash will be collected by the sanitation department during the week of January 14. You may begin placing trash at the curb on January 10. Please have everything out by 7:00 a.m. on the 14th.

For safety purposes, please break down cardboard boxes and place them in your recycling bin or in bags. At least, have them lying flat on the ground. Boxes advertise to would-be thieves what is in your home–the new big screen TV or DVD player or computer you got for Christmas. Don’t tempt those who would like to steal them!

Be a good neighbor and watch out for each other. Call 911 immediately if you see anything suspicious.
