Eastwood Homeowners Association partially supports the Volunteers in Patrol program for our neighborhood. We invite you to get trained and join the effort to help protect our neighborhood.

How Volunteers in Patrol actually works

After training by a Dallas Police Officer assigned to train VIP's, the VIP members patrol our neighborhood as a team of 2 on a normal basis. Some of our VIP members patrol by walking. This is a non-contact patrol: they call 911 for any supicious activity.

VIP Training Schedule for 2009

The Dallas Police department will hold training sessions as listed below:

Next training session will be 14, 15 and 17 SEP 2009 at 7PM at the NE Dallas Police Station, 9915 E. NW Highway. Please submit your applications to Sr. Cpl. Ron Carpenter before 7 SEP to be in this training schedule.
