CHOHA Meeting Minutes
June 11, 2008

I. Call to order – 7:00pm
II. Roll call of board members
III. Minutes reviewed, accepted, and approved
IV. Current Issues:
a. Entrance lighting – all the paperwork is in and the bill to DTE has been paid. We are waiting on DTE to contact Lou now.
b. Princess Park Damage – all repair work has been completed and the party responsible paid in full after his court hearing.
c. Lawn Service – previous minutes stated CHOHA decided to go with Bill’s Lawn Care Service for this year however a 2 year contract was signed prior to change of officers that the board was unaware of. Therefore, we will currently stay with Salisbury Lawn Care for the remainder of this contract year and continue to shop for bids for next year.
d. Creek/drain – Lou contacted the township and the Trusdell drain will be placed on the same work order as the Houston drain and is on the schedule for clean up but a particular date has not yet been set. These are both Wayne Country drains and therefore taken care of by Wayne County.
e. Newsletter – any ideas or articles should be submitted to Lou or to Kathy @ kamefford@hotmail.com.
f. Web Site/Community Watch Emails – check site and emails to keep informed about what is happening in our neighborhood.
g. Garage Sale – next subdivision garage sale is Sept. 18-21.
h. Financial Secretary – we are still in need for a volunteer for this position. Sandy Fuoco will surrender this position as of the end of the year.
i. Greet and Grieve Committee – a new committee was formed, consisting of Bob Wells, Monica Allen, and Kathy Mefford to welcome new neighbors and send condolences for deaths in the neighborhood.
V. Treasurer’s Report – financial update was given, with current balance, and approximate amount of homes still owing dues. The financial statement for 2007 was presented and reviewed.
VI. Park Project 2008 – Lori is looking for ideas on where to go with the parks and the asphalt pathway in Kingsway Park. A survey will go out with the next newsletter. The clean-up was successful but could have used more volunteers.
VII. Spring Events – Lou will get with Raina to see what is being planned.
VIII. Open Floor – an issue as to where the speed limit signs and no parking on this side of street signs were. Lou will check with Wayne County to get those replaced.
IX. Next Meeting scheduled for August 6, 2008 will be cancelled. Therefore, the next meeting will be October 8, 2008.
X. Meeting adjourned – 8:30pm
