Woodhaven Community Development, Inc. (WCD) was formed in the spring of 1998 for the purpose of promoting economic growth in the greater Woodhaven area. The trade area served by WCD is situated in the northwest corner of the I-30 and Loop 820E interchange, bounded by the Trinity River on the north and CBS Channel 11 on the west.





WCD is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization

WCD is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization whose operations rely on the generosity of its donors, and its operations are run by volunteers. WCD actively encourages development of raw land and redevelopment of existing properties in a manner that will enhance the quality of life for residents, create new jobs and achieve profitability for property owners.Woodhaven business people and area residents serve on the WCD Board of Directors. The 2005 officers are:

Every fall, WCD co-hosts a charitable golf tournament

Every fall, WCD co-hosts a charitable golf tournament with the Woodhaven Neighborhood Association and Woodhaven Country Club. The purpose of the tournament is to raise money to fund scholarships for deserving graduating high school students, special needs for college golf programs, and special educational needs of the Fort Worth East Regional Library.
