Located in North Dallas, bordered by Richardson to the north and Garland to the east, Whispering Hills is comprised of 615 homes built in the late 1970's to early 1980's.

Many are drawn to the neighborhood for its quiet streets, stately trees and magnificent homes. The association's purposes are assuring the beauty, safety, and stability of the neighborhood and surrounding community, promoting neighborliness and pride among the residents, being a focal point for social programs and activities in the neighborhood, and representing residents in matters affecting the Whispering Hills community.

PICKLEBALL!

Neighbors will meet for pickleball at Friendship Park on Wednesdays from 7:00-8:00 p.m. and on Saturday mornings at 9:30.

You don’t have to be really good to enjoy it. It is also a good way to meet new people. It’s a great way to get outside, and it’s really easy to pick up on and have fun. Moving forward we definitely would love to encourage people to join. If you haven’t played before, someone will be there to get you in the loop.

Let Sonia Harms know you’re interested at:

THE COST OF NOT WATERING AROUND YOUR HOUSE IN HIGH TEMPERATURES

Not watering your lawn can cause severe foundation issues and can also destroy underground plumbing and PVC pipes. During these types of heat waves, the ground contracts and hardens like concrete, pulling on pipes, PVC, sprinkler systems, and, most importantly, the foundation of your home. Not watering your lawns at least once a week can cause permanent damage to your home, landscaping, and trees. Summer stress ontrees from heat will make them even more vulnerable to winter freeze damage because a lack of water damages the roots. When you don’t water, tree roots go in search of wherever they can find water, in some cases, they break into your pipes and plumbing. Saving on your water bill now can cost you much more down the road. In addition, it will improve the appearance of your property and our neighborhood.

Watering days in Dallas are Wednesdays and Saturdays for odd-numbered addresses and Thursdays and Sundays for even-numbered addresses. No watering is permitted from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
