Available for sale through The Waterford Historical Society are the following books written by Herb and Marilyn Davis:

1. Clark Lane A Region of Waterford

A nostalgic trip through local history from 1600 to present including the separation of Waterford from New London, early settlers of Waterford, recollections of circus days, the 1938 hurricane and much, much more.

2. The Nehantic Way (Rope Ferry Road)

Journey the early paths and trails in southern New England that still remain in use today. This book covers the history of these Indian paths that link Fort Trumbull with New London, Waterford and East Lyme.

3. Brooks That Feed The Falls and Pirates Cove

A collection of early history, legends and stories taking you on a journey from the headwaters of Jordan Brook to the Cove ending up at "Robin Hood's Bay" and "Pirates Cove," written in two parts.

Part Two is Captain Kidd's presence in the Jordan Cove and the buried treasure on Gardner Island off the Waterford coastline. Check the home of Black Dick Morgan of Jordan.

Also available is The Granite Industry of Waterford written by Willard A. Reed, III. This book is also available at Fort Trumbull State Park. A detailed History of the Granite Industry in Waterford from its origin and the influence it had on the development of Waterford.
