Is anyone else disturbed by the barking beagle on long trail court?  Many people on my street are complaining about the early morning incessant barking.  Numerous notes have been left and people have confronted them.  The barking gets better for a little while, then starts all over again.  I understand the love of our pets, and I understand that all dogs bark, but this is not a typical bark, and it does NOT stop sometimes for 30 minutes to an hour in the early morning hours.

If you are the owner of this animal, PLEASE control the barking.  It's not that difficult to let a dog out for 5 minutes and then let him back in.  The dog is an indoor dog.  Why can't you be considerate?  Everyone would love to welcome you to the neighborhood, but it's as though you're on a mission to offend and annoy people with no regard.

In the event that the owners of the dog do not read these blogs, would any other neighbors be willing to confront them?  A complaint has been filed with the HOA.  I desperately hope it improves or I may have to consider selling my house.

I live on Long Trail Court and I haven't heard any dogs early in the morning.  I leave for work at 6.  I'm sure if you go and talk to them about it, they will do something about it. 

Yes, we did receive a complaint and unfortunately nothing can be done. Common courtesy is not guaranteed with any neighbor and with the covenants as they are now, barking dogs is not a violation. However, it is on the agenda for the yearly meeting to add this to a list of specific nuisances, so please attend our meeting and get it added! Peanut butter might work for a little while at least during sleeping hours.
