Wappingers is a fast growing community. There are very few sidewalks and crosswalks in Wappingers. There should be sidewalks alongside Route 9. County Road 93 (Myers Corners Road) is a very nusy road. I live in Wappingers and I always see people walking and biking everyday. There is only one crosswalk in front of Roy C. Ketcham High School on Myers Corners Road. There are no sidewalks. I see many kids walking home on Myers Corners Road. I see cars driving in the shoulder of the road, coming close to the kids. People also swirve into the other lane to avoid hitting the kids, which is hazardous. Sidewalks and crosswalks are needed!!!!!!
