WHA has an agreement with Waste Connections that expires later this year. I'm wondering what the Board's thoughts are in continuing this service.

Do they

a) plan on renewing the contract,

b) not renew the contract, or

c) allow other collection services to offer bids for discounted services.

Then again, perhaps the WHA members should voice their feelings regarding this subject.

I have heard reports lately from residents who stated that they have contacted Waste Connections requesting information on discounted rates. The residents state that Waste Connections denies any/all reports of an agreement with WHA. As the stated contract on this website is an unsigned PDF file, I'm wondering if the WHA Board ever did sign such agreement. If not, why was the agreement / contract placed on our website to begin with? Or then, can the WHA Board, or Administrator provide a signed copy of such agreement?

WHA Board or Administrator please respond. Before our May meeting if possible.

I negotiated and signed the agreement for Willo-Esque and Jeff Fawcett (Municipal Marketing Manager) signed it for Waste Connections on 11-4-2012. I have a copy of the signed agreement. Please advise me the names of the residents who were given this information from Waste Connections that denies any/all reports of an agreemen/contract with WHA. I would like to talk with the residents before I talk to Waste Connections. The contract states:  "This agreement will automatically renew for successive five (5) terms thereafter without further action by the parties (each Renewal Term", and together with the Intial Term, unless either party gives written notice of termination by U,S, certified or registered mail to the other party at least sixty (60) days prior to the expiration of the Initial Term or any Renewal Term". At this point, the WHA Board believes Willo-Esque is still getting a great deal with this agreement and has no intentions of changing the agreement, Thanks for the info and questions.
