We have an oily substance in our water and have several neighbors with the same problem.  All of us have contacted WCID#92, they test the water at the tap and tell each family that the problem is not theirs because it is in the houses.  I'm just curious if there are more families with the same problem?

I finally have an answer!  After contacting the water co and having no answers we did independant testing and nothing toxic showed up in our water.  We had another instance of the oily substance this week and a worker from the water company came out to check.  He said they use a vegetable based oil in their machinery and that is what we are seeing in the water.  I wish the water co. would have said this to begin with, it would have saved $$.
