I Police Report: Officer Jeff Artman shared the latest crime reports with us, plus a great photo of his newest child, Beau. Most of the crimes were thefts, including theft of the monitor used with the video camera at Tyler Park. There was an incidence of graffiti, two burglaries and some vandalism at Avalon on Bardstown Road, and an indecent exposure report at Tyler Park.
II. Metro Council Report: Tom Owen reported on the cleaning of Baxter Avenue as it goes up the hill to Eastern Parkway, a project he has been pursuing for weeks. The results are great! He reported that there's a list of proposed sidewalk repairs now posted at louisvilleky.gov , under Louisville At Work. Many of the proposed repairs are along the 1700 block of Windsor Place. Tom has seen the serious erosion problems in Tyler Park following the recent rains; there are many muddy areas on the walks. He proposed placement of asphalt "levees" along Castlewood to channel the rain to drains. Tom will investigate Mike Gramig's claim that rain is getting through the bridge in the park and is exposing tree roots. An area resident then requested Tom's help with some parking problems near her home and with theft of "No Parking" signs at Royal and Eastern Parkway.
