Minutes from the October 22 TPNA Meeting

Officer Jeff Artman reported on the 10 thefts in our area during the past month and on continued efforts to capture the "flasher" in Tyler Park.

Cleanups were announced for October 29 from 5 to 7:30 (removing invasive plants from the park area) and November 7 from 10 to ? (Operation Brightside; painting oiver graffiti in the Windsor  / Tyler Park Drive alley).

Terra Long announced the cleanup along Bardstown Road starting at 9 at Mid City Mall, also on 11/7.

Mimi Zinniel (Olmsted Conservancy) gave a talk about invasive plants and about the Conservancy's fund-raising efforts.

Doug McGee (Metro Housing Coalition) talked about the group's efforts to preserve neighborhoods and prevent demolition of buildings.

Jack Trawick (Center for Neighborhoods) talked about the very early history of Tyler Park and later development of streets and houses.

The following officers were re-elected or newly-elected:  President: Mike Gramig.  VP: Rebecca Watson.  Secretary: Janet Dakan.  Treasurer: Manny Carralero.  Doug Thrasher was selected as a new board member.

Our next meeting is set for November 19 at 7 PM in the library at Mid City Mall.
