Talked to waste management today. They still haven't heard from anyone on the board about renewing our neighborhood discount. Could someone call please. 

The original arrangement we had was with the company that is now Waste Industries.  If you call them (378-5400) they'll hook you up....

we've been very happy with them.

Waste Management was just giving you the run around.  :(

I am on the board, and although this is NOT a job the board typically does I offered to contact them to ask about getting a discount for Mansion Farm. I said I would post the information I received - WHEN I got a response from Waste Industries. After several requests for information from them, I just got a reply and I am posting it here........

Waste Industries, based in Townsend DE, is pleased to offer Mansion Farms Community the following quote to provide solid waste and recycling services!!

By signing a 1 year Service Agreement with our company, we can offer your community the following rates:

• $65.00 per quarter per household to include 1 time per week trash service and every other week recycling service.

Other possible discounts available:

• $4.50 per quarter for seniors
• 5% discount for paying a year in advance
• Additional discounts may be available for Communities where the HOA assumes responsibilty for the bill and in turn bills their residents directly. 

Trash Service includes the following: 

One time per week service at the curb with a 95 gallon wheeled container.  In addition to the can, we will take 3 household bags. 

Single-stream recycling service includes the following:  

Every other week service at the curb with a 95 gallon wheeled container  (in addition to the 96 gallon wheeled container provided for your waste removal at the curb).  You may place newspapers, junk mail, cardboard, glass (all colors), plastic bottles, aluminum and tin cans, mixed and loose in the container.   Please do not place ANY plastic bags in your recycle can as the recycling facilty will NOT accept them. 

Carts are generally delivered before your first pickup. 

Additional Services:

• Yard Waste Service is available in certain locations.  Residents that are interested in this servicewill need to contact our customer service department for pricing. 

• Bulk Pickup service is available for all of our customers.  While we do take “most” bulk items for free, there are some we can not take either due to restrictions with the item or with the truck that is doing your collection.  For this reason, we ask that all bulk items be scheduled before pickup with our customer service department. 

Payment Options:

Billing is quarterly.  Automated payment plans are available.  Payments can also be made through your bank’s bill payment service, at our web site, by calling our office with a credit, debit card or by mailing a check or money order.  

We do not charge a separate fuel surcharge; however, there is a one time $40.00 cart delivery fee. We also have a $1.95 per quarter paper bill fee. You can avoid that by signing up for e-billing.
