Project Spotlight: SouthPark Neighborhood Improvements

As part of the Neighborhood Improvements bond referendum, the SouthPark neighborhood will receive funding through the city's Comprehensive Neighborhood Improvements Plan (CNIP). SouthPark already has substantial private investment and a long history of growth. Therefore, the focus of the SouthPark CNIP is to identify and implement public investments that will support and help sustain the high levels of private investment already underway. The overall goal is to enhance SouthPark as a community that attracts residents, strengthens the economy and provides transportation choices.
Projects include improving bicycle and pedestrian access from the SouthPark activity center to surrounding neighborhoods, creating walkability within the center, increasing the quantity and quality of greenspaces and improving infrastructure like streets, sidewalks, storm drainage, etc.
Visit the SouthPark CNIP website to learn more about the program.
Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Bottomline, why should I vote for these bonds?

A: The Charlotte that we enjoy today is due to the investments we made in the past. The city we will enjoy in the future will come from investment we make today. Meeting Charlotte's infrastructure needs is vital to our region's health and sustaining our reputation as a great place to live, work and play. To support a better Charlotte, vote "yes" for all three bond referenda (streets, housing and neighborhoods) on this year's ballot.
