Greetings,
I have been a renter in Stroh on E. Elk Creek since last summer. I thought I was moving back to the wonderful close-knit community that I lived in in 2002. Was I ever wrong. My neighbors to the left of me and across the street seem to have nothing better to do than call the cops or complain to the HOA. The sad part is, they have never even tried to get to know us. What's worse, I am an RN trying to solely support a family of 6 and the HOA is charging me with 1300.00 in fines. This is the same HOA who refused to give me a copy of the ''rules'' when I called and requested it. We really are nice people and we want to stop being harassed, but we don't fit into this click of nasty neighbors that are always complaining. I don't know what to do, but I can't move. If anyone has any advice, please let me know. In the meantime, I have decided to spend that 1300.00 on an attorney.
Thanks in advance for your input,
Sherrie
Sherrie,
We've lived in Stroh Ranch on E. Mann Creek for 4 years now and I completely agree with you about the people in this neighborhood! The HOA has been sending me letters for the last year and half or maybe 2 years because they are accusing us of parking one of our vehicles on the street for a few days without getting permission... but this was not our vehicle and they are still trying to bill us for it. We actually just received a letter in ghe mail today stating we have 30 days before they put a lien on our house, but this was NOT our truck and I have no way of proving to them that it was not our truck. I have even been dealing directly with PCMS's Vice-President, Randy Watt, who I'd have to say is a real a-hole! But I don't feel that I should have to pay for something we didn't do. As for the neighbors in the townhomes... sometimes you can be lucky enough to find some nice people in the area, but not many. We had a neighbor call the cops on us before as well, thank goodness she's no longer there, but instead of coming by and asking us to be a little more quite or speaking with us first she went straight to the police. What a way to make friendly neighbors huh. I don't have much advice except to smile and nod and just move on. :(
