Hello !

Registration for Wild on the Water 2019 is now open.  We look forward to you joining CROWN and NCWF on June 1, 2019 in our unique fundraising event. Please feel free to forward to family / friends who might be interested in joining….however, we have a limited number of vessels available in order of registration.  Register here by April 15th and be entered into a drawing for an ENO hammock ($100 value) or by the deadline of May 15th.  Please follow the link at the bottom of the registration page to submit the registration fee of $50 when you sign up. You can also set up a fundraising page for sponsors at the same time.  The more you raise, the more raffle tickets you get.

The paddle will be on Mountain Island Lake at Latta Plantation Nature Preserve.  Check in is at 9:30, and we will take to the water around 10am. We’ll be on the lookout for native wildlife such as yellow-bellied sliders, great blue herons, red tailed hawks, king fishers, and more.  Special presentations will be given: one at an active osprey nest by Marvin Bouknight of Discovery Place Nature; and one about the native habitat by Corinne Rizzo of Mecklenburg Parks and Recreation.

A free, delicious lunch and raffle follow.  The grand raffle prize is a kayak provided by Great Outdoor Provision Co.  Other prizes include day passes to the US National Whitewater Center, Magnolia Coffee gift basket, ENO hammock, gift certificates and more.  Every paddler receives one raffle ticket with registration.

You are welcome to bring your own canoe, kayak, or SUP.  We will have canoes and kayaks available for registered paddlers on a first come, first served basis.  Each paddler in a canoe or tandem kayak must be registered separately. If you have (non-paying) children riding along in a canoe please include their names/ages in the partner field of the registration form so we have an accurate headcount for lunch.
