Respect-O-Meter: Valued Neighbor
people waiting by front doorsen
if someone is waiting by the door for a tenant to let them in that is one thing, but waiting by the door to follow someone in, that is another issue. do not let them in walk to another door, call the police and report a suspicious person. we have had strangers walking our halls, who is going to see them if they decide to kick a door in? ....... if they live here then they should have a key. if no key and still wanting to follow you in, then either they are undesirables or illegal tenants, either way we do not want them in the building. call the police!!! walk to another door, i understand the inconvenience, but it is your safety too.

Respect-O-Meter: Respected Neighbor
I could not agree more, and I know several others here who feel the same way.  Recently, my roommate and I were coming home on a weekend afternoon, and there was a man in the parking lot talking on a cell phone.  We started to walk to a stair entry door, and he followed us.  So, we decided to do an about face, and he did the same.  We turned around again, and HE FOLLOWED US AGAIN!  I was laughing so much, because it was just dumb.  We finally turned again, and got in before he could reach us.  Clearly he did not live here.  If someone follows me in behind a gate...fine...that's one thing...but if a stranger tries to follow me in a locked door that I have a key for and they don't...well...I draw the line.  And if they are waiting by a door, I just go to another door.  It's not hard to do.
