Plan Ahead: N.C. Rehab Code will Sunset Next MonthDesign professionals working on existing buildings should take a close look at their future project timelines -- the N.C. Rehab Code will sunset officially on March 1. After that, only the 2015 N.C. Existing Building Code can be used. Customers working on projects that will not be permitted before Feb. 28 should use the Existing Building Code. Mecklenburg County Code Enforcement will not issue any permits under the N.C. Rehab Code after Feb. 28. More information on effective dates of various codes is available from the N.C. Department of Insurance. Update on Our Computer System OutageThe majority of our applications and online services have been restored since the outage in early December, but a few supporting processes may still be affected. Most customers should not notice anything different. If you do experience something unusual, please contact our Customer Service Center at 980-314-CODE. The staff of Mecklenburg County Code Enforcement is proud to be part of building a safe and thriving community, and we are grateful for the support and understanding we received from our customers during the outage. |
