I know I could call, but can anyone here tell me what happened to the Encore channel on MPW? I read they are going to raise my rates, apparently I'm going to be paying more for less it seems. I never read or saw anything about them dropping encore, what gives. A dish is looking to be a more reasonable altenative more and more.

Do you have expanded basic with the channels 260-273 devoted to movies?  I called MPW and asked about losing the 15-22, and was told that the lower numbered movie channels were the same as the higher numbered ones, and they dropped the low ones to make room for more digital stuff.  I'm fairly low on the technology scale, so didn't understand it, but it sure seems like I'm getting less for more. 

do you feel like you're being robbed without the gun! same here I do not want to pay 52.00 $ for simple cable. how about adding some more channels with the fee hike. then I would feel better about paying more! It's like food packaging, it keeps getting smaller and the price keeps going up! "hey look new package", is a way to distract you from the package getting smaller. so we pay to have cable and businesses pay to advertise. your right satellite is sounding better!

Maybe my memory is not working properly but, I thought that they were adding the speed channel plus two more that I can not recall.

I wanted the speed channel but I had to order digital to get it and I felt it was not worth the difference in price because that was the only one I wanted.

I guess I will find out when it starts.
