Aldi Foods Has Paper Bag Assisters For Leaf Bagging

Posted in: Madison Park

I noticed today that Aldi Foods had a display of paper bag assisters to use with the preferred paper bags for curb side leaf pickup.   The item inserts into the paper bag and keeps it firm and open while you place your leaves into it.

The item is located in its own display at the isle up toward the check outs.

Remember Solid Waste wants you to use Paper bags instead of plastic.  The reason it speeds up pickups and the paper bags decompose.     All plastic bags must be removed either curb side or at the leaf lot.   Trucks bringing in bags of leaves mixed in with yard waste have to pay more to unload.

You can obtain free leaf paper bags at Full Service Mecklenburg Recycling Centers while they last.

Aldi also still has some bags for less than $2 bucks for 5.
