This one-stop number for citizens who need service or information from the Department of Public Works has more than 100 uses from sanitation, forestry and recycling questions to towing or water works problems. You can call Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

The goal of providing the telephone number is to provide Milwaukee citizens with improved customer service, including follow-up with the caller after an inquiry has been answered and after a particular service has been provided. Plans also call for implementing a network database program that can record and track information and service requests. This will enable the city to better serve residents and assist in planning more efficient and effective public works programs and services.
