New Family Friendly Ice Cream & Pizza Restaurant...

I hope no one minds that I post the opening of a new Family Friendly
Pizza and Ice Cream Restaurant which just opened up a week ago. It is
called "Tailgaters" and is located at 5300 W. Bluemound Road, right on
the corner of 53rd and Bluemound. It is a family run business, the
owner lives a few blocks away from the restaurant.
It's so nice to have a place nearby to grab a regular or waffle cone, a
malt, or a reasonably priced pizza, and you can take kids or grandkids
to. It's also good for business lunches. They are very quick if you
need a whole pizza or a slice before or after a Brewers game.
Everything is freshly made.
It's a short ride, a healthy walk, or a nice bike ride away from where
most of us live.
We're hooked, and maybe you'd like to give it a try!

OK. We just got home. We ordered an 18" Cheese, Sausage and pepperoni pizza and two regular sized soft drinks - they are refillable folks - it only cost us $20.05!! Good deal. We were very pleased with the pizza. Crisp crust, plenty of toppings and a good sauce. It is WIDE cut or New York Style, you know, the ones you fold in half to eat. They currently carry only pizza and ice cream. They are working on garlic bread and maybe a few other food items. They will be adding some pics for decorating soon as well. The focus is on a great pizza. I think they made it in that area! And my two favorite foods are hambugers and pizza! You really should give it a go!

We were there Sunday with a bunch of friends of our grade school age kid.

We mainly stopped for ice cream-it was very tasty! But the kids wanted to take home pizza for supper. Everyone liked it and thats unusual in this house. The slices were cut generously like two pieces in one. They sell 3 sizes or by the slice. They also have THICK SHALES, SUNDAES, and will make a concoction similar to a Blizzard or Flurry with add ins. They also have 2 sizes of waffle cones.

Worth the walk up the hill.
