Race to the Harley-Davidson Museum® for “Family Day” on Sunday, July 26
Free admission for kids every Sunday in July and August
The Harley-Davidson Museum® is revving up the summer with the first of many Family Days starting Sunday, July 26. Kids can visit the Museum for free and participate in a variety of fun motorcycle-themed activities created especially for them.
What:Family Day at the Harley-Davidson Museum
When: Kicking off on Sunday, July 26, 2009. Family Day is the last Sunday of every month.10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: Harley-Davidson Museum, 400 West Canal St., Milwaukee WI
- FREE admission every Sunday in July and August for children 17 and under with an adult paid admission and coupon available at www.h-dmuseum.com.
- $4.99 kids meals at Motor and Cafe Racer. A special kids menu includes Mini Burgers, PB&J Sandwiches, Mac and Cheese, Grilled Chicken Tenders and Junior-sized Brats.
- Kiddie Drag Races: Harley-Davidson Big-Wheels take center stage with a kids-only “drag course” set up along the 5th Street parking lot. Kids ages 3 to 9 can tear it up from 11:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. and win a Harley-Davidson Museum ribbon.
- Summer Story Time: Kids of all ages can listen to a Museum storyteller read a motorcycle-themed book such as The Mouse and the Motorcycle, and Harley and the Davidson’s at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. The story will come alive when the group ventures into the Museum and spotlights a special artifact.
- Balloon Artist, Face Painting and Temporary Tattoos: Individuality rules at the Harley-Davidson Museum. Kids of all ages can express their own spirit with face painting, balloon and temporary tattoo artists inside the Museum.
- Road Pack: Families can check out the Road Pack at the start of their tour and participate in a variety of activities while exploring the exhibits, such as a motorcycle scavenger hunt, a gas tank design or a Museum word search.
