Emergency Shelters

If you had to evacuate during a hurricane, would you know where to go? There are two emergency shelters in Jungle Terrace. They are:
Azalea Middle School. 7855 22nd Ave N. This shelter has a capacity for 610 evacuee's and has oxygen available (for those requiring 2 liters or less per minute)
Northside Baptist Church. 6000 38TH Ave N. has the capacity for 1,325.

What will you do with Fido?

Pets need to be included in your hurricane plans. If you have to evacute you will not be able to take Fido & Fluffy along to a Red Cross disaster shelter because of health and safety concerns. Your pet should not be left behind when you have to evacute. Pets can get lost, become injured or die if left to weather the storm alone.
