Respect-O-Meter: Respected Neighbor
Election

Does anyone know who, if anyone, on the Woodlawn Park council, is up for reelection in November? Maybe a better question is, if we are electing anyone for mayor or council this November, who is running? I'd like to know before I go into the booth. There are several council persons who I think have been exemplary, though most have done well, even with some very sticky, tricky issues. Such as: the Beechwood tree clearing, the wind storm, the expensive City toy, (I mean Hall... sorry, cheap shot), working with the State regarding Westport Road, the token but hopefully (someday) expanding role of the ethics committee, and the neighboring church's expansion and its apparent belief in imminent domain (that's a cheap shot too, they seem to be willing for us to have some input). A lot of hard work has been done. And I miss Mike Brown on the council.
