Dear Friends, It’s with great pleasure that we return to you with an update on the work we began together at the Citizens’ Summit, held as part of the 2012 planning effort. As part of the City’s most extensive public outreach effort ever, we asked you how you talk and think about Columbus, what attracts people and business to the city and where you think our greatest opportunities are. Your responses uncovered fresh ideas for how we tell Columbus’ story. We heard you. Your voices have helped us draft a Columbus story we can share with a sense of pride, a sense of community, a sense of optimism and a respect for the great diversity and opportunity of our city. We hope that this can move us forward in the effort to build a consistent story told by the people and organizations who are already talking about Columbus. If we can align our city’s promotion around one shared, powerful story, we will indeed make progress in the effort to be recognized nationally as a leading place to live and work - a key ingredient to achieving economic progress in our region. We are excited that the Chamber, ExperienceColumbus and OSU are all enthusiastically participating in this collaboration with you, with each other, and with other key stakeholders and strategic communicators in our community. As a participant in the initial summit, we want your feedback first. Thanks to our friends at Ologie, who have partnered with us from the beginning, the following link will take you to an overview of the process, the image strategy and the draft story. Take a look. Share it with your friends. And return post your comments and feedback to us here: http://issuu.com/competecolumbus/docs/the_columbus_story * For the best legibility, please select presentation view and full screen in the upper left corner when viewing.
