Package Delays! My Experiences.

Posted in: Madison Park

It sure is taking a long time for postal packages to get through the system.  I ordered items up to two weeks ago.   Two different shipments from Fedx to Postal were to be delivered early last week. The order was split into 4 shipments and 1/2 the order came almost 2 weeks ago.  Two shipments as of today are still not here.   I use informed delivery so that is why I know they were supposed to be delivered. They both showed up on my dashboard last wee, but never were delivered.   My postal carrier did not have them and they could not find them at Minute Station.   They just dropped off the scans.    However today one has showed back up in a scan.

I had a package that UPS said was out for delivery on Wednesday that said it would arrive between 11:30 and 4:30 that day.    The truck was all over the neighborhood that had my package.    At one point just a couple of blocks away.   By 5 PM the package had not arrived.    The system now said by 9 PM that day.    The truck went over off E. Woodlawn into Madison Park and then was sitting at just north of E. Woodlawn on South for over 2 hours.   Then all of a sudden the truck was on I-85 other side of town and of course did not come back or leave my package.   After midnight got an email saying delivery was now going to be the next day.   Thursday.   Time 11:30 to 4:30 PM.   Again I wait and no package.   Around 5 PM the system updated and said by 9 PM.   I watched  the truck all day over off Sewyln Ave and in Myers Park near the country club.   Around 8:30 the truck appeared to be heading down Park Road, but ended back up working in area near E. Woodlawn via Sewyln Ave.  I did a online chat and the CS person said it could still arrive to keep watching the updates.    The truck was showing on E. Woodlawn, but my doorbell rings at 8:45 pm and there is a large UPS truck backed in my drive.   My package was on the porch.  I suspect another truck picked up my package from the truck that had it, because my truck on the live track never came to my house.  It never showed in my hour or provided the less than 1 hour to delivery update.

Anyway if you are still shopping online and can pick items up at stores you might want to consider doing that.  Otherwise you might not get you packages by the time you need them.  Belk's is pretty good they give you an extra 10% off for using curb side pickup.

I am sure they are just overwhelmed but taking 2 plus weeks to send stuff is way too long.  They are missing the stores estimated deliveries and even their own delivery notices.

I did have one Amazon delivery and in less than 24 hours all items were at my door.

Little good news with FedX.    I had a scheduled Tuesday package delivery that showed up via FedX at my door on Sunday afternoon.   So at least they are getting their packages through timely.
