While I understand and expect some mess and inconvenience during road construction, I am upset that the entrance to Walser has been left  in such poor condition. Turning off and on to Westport is hazardous, hard to maneuver, and hard on my car. Can we get a temporary fix for this problem while they continue working elsewhere?

I agree. I've already damaged my vehicle on Walser so I have been trying to use some of the other streets to get into the neighborhood, but it seems like now all of them are in some sort of disarray. I'm not very hopeful we'll see much improvement until the project is finished though.

KY Transportation Cabinet is aware of the issue with the current condition of the road and has agreed to try to correct the problems with the contractor within the next 10 days. If the problem is not corrected in that time frame we will try to escalate our complaints up the chain at the State HWY department.

In the interim, I'm going up to the corner tomorrow with a shovel (they left a pile of gravel on the church side of Walser) to try to at least fill the holes a little.
