Why does Settlers Crossing not have a community pool like most neighborhoods of that caliber? Has there ever been talk of adding one?

I think a pool is a great idea.  I've heard we don't have enough land to build one.  Does anyone know what the deal is with the property behind the playground?  Also, I heard the HOA wouldn't have the funds.  However,  why the HOA couldn't sell memberships to Southerly Farms and other surrounding neighbors/neighborhoods to ease some of the cost?   Any thoughts???
