More Details

Thank you for registering for the Recycle Right webinar TODAY, July 9th at 11:30am! PLEASE INVITE OTHERS, there is still time to share the registration link below.

If you have children over the age of 10 in your household please invite them to pull a chair up to your screen!  The presentation is well received by children ages 10 and up. Younger kids may require adults to explain some info, but some as young as 4 have said they really liked it and learned a lot.

Few details to prepare you for a good experience:

  1. Please review the attached handout and/or have it on your screen to refer to during the presentation.
  2. Please watch this 4-minute Mecklenburg County Recycling Center video prior to the presentation, if possible. https://youtu.be/wbTTAU0kQG8
  3. You will get a reminder email 30 minutes before the webinar begins from Zoho with the link to join the webinar (in case you lost the link that was sent with your registration confirmation, don’t worry!) It might land in a folder other than your INBOX such as Junk Email, Spam, Newsletters, Updates etc… Please look for it.
  4. Click on the link to join a minute or two before.
  5. Zoho meeting launcher will open, which is common for virtual meeting/webinar technology platforms. It is a safe program.
  6. All participants will be joining the webinar on MUTE and will not be able to talk unless you raise your hand and ask permission to be unmuted by the organizers.
  7. We are asking that all questions be held until the end of the presentation as 90% of questions are answered in the content. The presentation is typically 40 minutes with ample time for Q&A.
  8. My colleague, Walker Spruill will be co-presenting. We will take turns chatting with you via the Q&A feature, so we can answer some questions DURING the presentation without interrupting the speaker.
  9. We will send a recording of a webinar via email to all registrants with the .pdf of the presentation afterwards. So if you miss it live, you can still receive the content.

When in Doubt, Throw It Out!    No Wishful recycling.

No plastics.  Only plastic bottles with a small neck.  (NO WIDE Mouth Plastics).

Don't bag any recycling materials.   If you bag it that entire bag becomes trash.

Do not go by numbers on bottoms of containers.   Those are no longer accurate.
