In response to your stated position on the institution of rules governing homeowner behavior at meetings , first I would like to thank you for the reply . Second , I believe that several homeowners were offended and put off by some of the behavior displayed at our first meeting that we had this year and thus will be loathe to attend any future meetings . Are we to let the bad behavior of a few homeowners prevent others from participating ? Or are we to create an environment in which all homeowners feel comfortable to attend our meetings ? I propose a few simple rules - 1) everyone will be allowed to speak , 2) no yelling , 3) no cursing . These rules are well within reason , as we are all adults here . I wish that i did not have to ask for this , but the simple fact remains , this behavior has been going on , and I wish to see it stop . I would also like to know if all funds have been accounted for from the previous administration , an update on the state of the previous administrations books from last year , any dues in arrears and any taxes on common areas in arrears . And lastly , access to funds MUST require the signatures of at least 2 boardmembers . We must never again have a situation in which all funds are in a private account of just one boardmember . I also propose that a rule be installed that in order to be a boardmember , you must LIVE in this neighborhood . Irregardless of if said individual still owns the house . We must never again have an absentee president.
