?ŸŒˆ Atlanta Pride is *VIRTUAL* this year! ?ŸŒˆ

Dear Atlanta Pride family,

We are in uncharted waters and need your support.

Following our announcement that the 50th anniversary
Atlanta Pride Festival will be *virtual* this October, we want to give you a chance to share your ideas for this year's celebration. While a virtual Pride won't be the same, our community's safety is our top priority.

We want to hear your honest opinions to make this year's festivities as best as possible. Take the survey below, and let us know your thoughts!

We need your feedback!

Underserved populations are disproportionately affected by dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Our community members are more likely to age alone, report unequal access to healthcare and be disproportionately impacted by high levels of stress, depression, and chronic medical conditions, including COVID-19, HIV and AIDS.

The Wharton Lab at Emory University is excited to announce a new study called 'Equality in Caregiving.' The purpose of this study, is to provide the LGBT community caregiving education, training, and resources for dementia caregivers. This free study will provide caregiver training to address the unique challenges faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender caregivers of people living with dementia. The program is free and taught via Zoom by Emory University doctors and researchers who specialize in dementia and LGBT health. Please contact Morgan Hecker if you or someone you know is a dementia caregiver and could benefit from a dementia caregiver educational program.

They are seeking individuals who are:
  •  18 or older
  •  Lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender
  •  Care for a person with dementia or Alzheimer's disease
  •  Are available to attend a six week course via Zoom in the evenings, and a focus group.
