Does anyone know the story behind the statue (a lion? I think there was a deer before) on Ivanridge (by the curb) which is decorated by different hats according to the holidays or seasons?

Interesting! I don't think I've ever seen it. Will ask at the CNA Board meeting tonight.
I walked by there too, and I'll have to ask the owner where they get the costume ideas. I'll post a update in a few days.
THE FESTIVE LION

We’ve received several questions about the stone lion on Ivanridge. This lion seems to have a happy tradition of dressing up for holidays. Homeowner Jo Jackson reveals the secret behind this tradition. Several years ago, the Lion was actually a Fawn. Ms. Jackson started decorating the Fawn at Christmastime and it was so cheerful that the neighbors asked her to decorate the Fawn year round…..sort of an ambassador to usher in the next holiday. The Fawn did its job beautifully for many years until some unknown admirer broke its head off (how rude)! Ms. Jackson was unable to find as charming a fawn as a replacement, but she did find a lion to take its place. So, now the Lion welcomes all to each holiday with its festive outfit. Mystery solved!
