Tampa Fire Rescue offers free smoke detector for homeowners

Visit your local fire station in the City of Tampa

The city of Tampa offers free smoke detectors to residents just visit your local fire station to request one. For those citizens who cannot properly install a smoke detector due to physical limitations or disabilities you can schedule an appointment with the TFR Public Education Office @ 242-5494 and a fire fighter will come out and install the alarm for you at no cost .

Make sure to change your batteries yearly
