HOA Dues

Posted in: Hunters Chase

With our new company, we do not have a monthly payment nor quarterly pay option.

I was just informed by them that all is due by March 1.

I may list my house for sale on April 1 but still have to pay for the full year 2019 and was told they is no refund if you move.

I realize if you do not plan on moving, this is irrelevant to you ( unless paying all at once is not financially in your budget )

What are your thoughts?

Personally, I feel like not paying at all and a new owner would have to join anyway.

As a licensed REALTOR and a fellow homeowner in Hunters Chase it has been my experience that when a homeowner sells their home any overages paid for HOA fees and BCAD are credited back to the seller.  You are only responsible for fees for your home during the time you owned it.  After closing it is the responsibility of the new owner. Hope this helps!
