Why is "Code Enforcement" so poor in our neighborhood?

Posted in: Cedar Haven

Both Vana Hammond, Chief of the Mayor's Community Relations & GrowSouth and Theresa O'Donnell, Chief Planning Officer state in GrowSouth and in Neighborhood Plus that vigorous code enforcement is a key to revitalizing our neighborhoods and attracting new residents and businesses.

Since the Mayor's and the City Manager's respective staffs know this, why do we not have any measurable code enforcement?

What are they waiting for?

Better yet, what are we waiting for?

We live here and see the code violations and lack of code enforcement everyday.

I only ask because I care.

Things are looking up, There is a core of people that are taking ownership and reporting code violations routinely. Much more are still needed.
