On January 2, 2016 a natural gas explosion occured at 3:19 AM on Whispering Hollow Drive complety destroying the house located at 12505 and doing extensive damage to a number of other homes in the Walnut Creek Estates Addition.  Some of these homes are unliveable, and may not be repairable with others throughout the Addition substaining damage.  There is to be a meeting of those impacted by this explosion on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at 3:oo PM at New Covenant Christian Church located on N. Rockwell Ave. just north of the high school.  Those attending are asked to use the south side entrance closest to the high school.
