Current HOA Board in violation of State Laws

Posted in: Evergreen Park Estates

It appears that the current board is not interested in answering any of the questions that have come before it. I am checking to see if this is in violation of State laws that are required to keep the board active. In addition, I asked for a mailing list before the current board tries to change the covenants - so far nothing.

The asking of legitimate questions of "our" board has been going on for several years without the board providing any answers.

I guess the board is not interested in placing anything in writing or in answering to those they are susposed to represent. Sounds like Washington!

Sorry - forgot the question mark - the question still remains tho

The board has been largely defunct over the last 8-10 years.  I used to be active on the board including serving as president for a year, but the value of the HOA and the board has been usurped by Jefferson County Planning and Zoning as they circumvent or override any HOA policies.  We tried to disband the HOA, but that takes 70% response rate from homeowners and we were never able to get more than 30% response rate on any mailings.  Just an FYI...
