> Call to order by President Debra Campbell.

> Officer Hairston our community CMPD representative gave the crime report
> for north of Tyvola neighbor and Officer Russell gave the report for
> south of Tyvola Road. They answered several questions of interest from
> the group. They spoke about identity fraud and how to prevent this
> growing crime. Never give out your social security number, obtain credit
> reports at least once a year, do not put your bills in your outside mail
> box, and always use the thought of "Shred It or Dread It".

> Treasury report by Dee McCandish. We have $705.84 in the treasury at
> this time.

> A report was given by Dan Carrigan on the progress of the Marion
> Diehl/Queens University committee. There was a discussion on what needs
> to be done, what can be done and what can not be done. The committee is
> scheduled to meet Monday, June 23 at 6:30PM at the picnic area behind
> Marion Diehl pool. A report will be given on the progress at our next
> meeting. Please feel free to attend this meeting.

> A report was given on the rezoning of the piece of land at the end of
> Seneca Place and Park Road. The proposal is for a storage building. The
> condo units behind the area has petitioned for several changes and the
> builder complied with these changes. The picture of the building is
> quite impressive. All who attended the meeting were well pleased by what
> the builder has provided.

> The Elections Committee was unable to find a vice president to serve for
> this next period. So, for those of you out there please step up to the
> plate for your neighborhood and volunteer your time. We have a great
> neighborhood and we need leaders that care for our future.

> At this point the meeting was turned over to incoming president Ted

> Ted's first act was to recognize Debra Campbell for her service to the
> association.

> A motion to donate $65.00 to Wedgewood Baptist Church in recognition of
> their hospitality to our association in facilitating our meetings in
> their Activity Center room. The motion was seconded by David May and the
> vote was unanimous.

> Ted next discussed problem houses in our neighborhood. One in particular
> has cars on the lawn, tall grass, and a fallen tree. The discussion was
> on how we can help the neighbors before we have to contact law
> enforcement. It was decided that we would approach the home owners to
> talk to them about how keep their yard in good condition. The committee
> will make a report at the next meeting.

> Discussion on the construction at Pinewood Elementary. Most in
> attendance had not heard of this upcoming project. This may mean the
> destruction of the beautiful rose garden. More to come about this.

> We had some discussion on recent flooding in our area.

> Candace Armstrong talked about the process that we need to go through in
> order to be a recognized Crime Watch area. She asked that we take a
> sheet, add our address and canvas our neighbor in our area to sign the
> sheet. This way we will qualify for the program. All sign up sheet for
> this are due back at our July 14th meeting.

> Ted recognized our new attendees: Susie Chan on Tyvola.

> Thanks for all who were in attendance. Your support is greatly
> appreciated. For those of you who are unable to come but enjoy the
> minutes, let us know if you have any concerns or issues that we need to
> address at the meetings.

> A big Thank you to Martin Doss who has accepted the position of Secretary
